HL 11

Good morning Larks and Owls and welcome back to another week of learning here on the blog. This week the children at home and the children in school will be following the same learning from Oak National Academy. We will also be doing extra active sessions in school to get outside more and I will be sharing some of the creative sessions that we have been doing back in the classroom with you, a mixture of lots of different subjects. Whilst I am back in school Mrs Gillison will be making contact with the families that are at home but we are both still at the end of our emails should you need us. Keep smiling and don’t be too hard on yourselves if you’re having a bad day with any home learning, draw a line under the day and start a fresh when you’re up to it again. Keep reading and enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible.

Before starting this week’s Maths lessons you will need a mixture of coins if you have any at home. If not, maybe you could use some of these websites/coins to support your child’s learning. Click here.

Using Mrs Stratford’s Active Bingo, see if across the week you can have a go with this too. I have attached the Powerpoint with instructions on what to do and the items you may need. If you don’t have any of the items at home, try improving with another household item. I look forward to seeing some of your creativity. Uploads any images or videos on our Padlet – we have been sharing these back in the classrooms.

Here is the Active Bingo Powerpoint.

Last week we used wool in school to make pom pom caterpillars as we read the Eric Carle book called ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. Here is the link to the story on You Tube. What might you make a caterpillar from? You might use some junk modelling to make a caterpillar, you might like to paint one, how about making one out of fruit?!
