Thursday English/PSHE

Today’s feeling to discuss is surprise. As a family, this will involve you talking openly about a time when you’ve felt surprised. What did you do? Was it a good surprise or a bad surprise? Did you manage your actions well when you were surprised? (Allow your child time to think before responding, they may find talking about this difficult but by waiting patiently and sharing your own feelings, it will enable them to open up.) Discuss other scenarios about when people might feel surprised. Talking openly about feelings is really important and listening to your child and enabling them to have a voice is really key.
