HL 9

Happy Friday everybody! Mrs Gillison has shared the spellings on the blog, remember to let us know how you got on. Today is the last day of Home Learning this week. We hope you’ve had a good go at them, it would be lovely to hear your poems when you have finished them, maybe we can share some of the poems that we did in school this week too. Below is today’s home learning. Have a lovely weekend and we’ll see you again next week.

Session 5 Maths follow the link here to access today’s session. More addition and subtraction again today but you’ll be solving some problems!

Session 5 English follow the link here to access today’s session. Today we will be writing our poems. Remember to share your poem and perform it for your family. Maybe you’ll include a video on the blog or you’ll email it to your teacher, we’d love to see them.

Foundation Subject task: Performance Potery

As we have been doing plenty of poetry this week, why not have a go at performing some of these.

Your child may need help reading this depending on their reading ability.

Can they identify the rhyming words? Can they clap the syllables?

Poem 1: The Bug Chant (attached)

Children could then go on a bug hunt or write their own rhymes about bugs.

Or Poem 2: Rainbow acrostic (template attached but they could do their own)
