Another amazing morning of PE, where year one stepped into the shoes of their favourite superheroes to perform a dance to the Avengers theme song! 😊

Today was the last day working with Larks and Owls making Vegetable Soup. They have all worked incredibly hard and have been a fantastic year group to work with.

 

 

This afternoon we looked at Chinese New Year and why it is a celebration in the Chinese culture. To celebrate, we made Chinese lanterns to scare off the dragons. th

Today we have been exploring paint and mixing the primary colours together to make secondary colours. See if your child can name any of the primary or secondary colours and comment below. We are creating our own masterpiece this morning in the style of Van Gogh’s Starry Night.

Today we have been learning all about Vincent Van Gogh. We have created a biography about him, found out about where he was born and located it using an atlas, critiqued some of his work and shared some of our own dreams that could inspire a piece of artwork, just like Vincent did.

We have story time twice a day in Year 1. Once in the morning when we have our snack and milk and again at the end of the day. Today a child read a book to the rest of the class in Larks. Wow what fun! We spent the morning exploring the adventures that Peter Rabbit has with his friends. We then selected our favourites and started to put together a dance with our partners.

We have continued learning how to make Healthy Vegetable Soup, all children will have a turn over the next couple of weeks.
